If one looks at the literature encompassing the ECONO area (my own acronym for scholarly economics) this begins around the 1740s, France as “Physiocracy” and is from the start a discussion concerned with the rich, the elite. So it is conceived in the interests of the rich. Something is off there. At around the same time, even as literature and thought in ECONO got going the literature and politics of brotherhood, equalite, etc. also got going. Here there are two trends.
